The Irwin Main Street Project has a board
of eight members. They have all been on the
board since its beginning in 2004.
Gerald R. O'Brien, Jr. has served as the Chairman
of the Board of the Irwin Project since December
2006. Mr. O'Brien is an attorney for Burns,
White & Hickton, LLC of Pittsburgh, PA.,
with a primary focus on defense litigation,
as well as construction law, and real estate
transactions, use and development. Prior to
joining The Irwin Project, Mr. O'Brien was
Vice-Chairman of Route 130 Citizen's in Motion
of Penn Township in Westmoreland County.
Michael J. Pochan is the Vice President of
the board and is on the Promotions Committee.
He has his own company, Edgewood Systems. He
is also the secretary of the Irwin Business
and Professional Association (IBPA).
Bill Hawley is the Treasurer of the board
and is also Chairman of the Irwin Borough Planning
Commission and a board member of the Norwin
Historical Society. He works as an engineer
for Allegheny Energy, and he is married to
Tracy with two sons, Joey and Andy. Hawley
is also involved with the Norwin Junior Wrestling
Program and the Takedown Club.
Hallie Chatfield is the Design Committee Chair
of the Irwin Main Street board. She currently
serves as the Revitalization Coordinator for
the Redevelopment Authority of Westmoreland
County and provides technical assistance to
many of the communities in Westmoreland County.
Prior to this position, Chatfield was the Project
Manager for the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor.
She earned a B.A. in History from Saint Vincent
College and is currently pursuing a M.A. in
Historic Preservation at Goucher College. Chatfield
also serves as the Norwin Historical Society
Board Treasurer and Holiday House Tour Chairperson.
She resides in North Huntingdon with her husband,
son, and dog.
Deborah Kelly is the Secretary of the board
and is on the Promotions, Economic Restructuring
and Hometown Streets committees. She is President
of Preferred Staffing, Inc. Debbie is past-president
of the White Oak Chamber of Commerce, an active
member of the Irwin Business and Professional
Association, and on the Board of Directors
for the Regional Chamber Alliance.
Dana
Carleo Krydick is a consultant for the
Westmoreland County Federated Library System.
Prior to taking on the challenge of leading
a countywide Integrated Library System project,
she was the Director of the Norwin Public
Library where she facilitated a 2.1 million
dollar state-of-the-art building project.
The new library opened September 2004. Dana
earned a B.A. in Journalism/Communications
from Point Park University and a Masters
in Library and Information Sciences from
the University of Pittsburgh.
David M. Sinclair is on the Economic Restructuring
Committee of the Irwin Main Street board. He
is a state certified real estate appraiser
and real estate agent. Sinclair is also a partner
in KCS, Inc., a real estate investment and
development company. He is the President of
St. Joseph’s Benevolent Society and a
member of the Norwin Historical Society.
Donn Henderson is the manager of the Irwin
Main Street Project. He has previously been
the Main Street Manager for Charleroi, PA,
from 1999 to 2005. He is also the owner and
operator of Donn Ray Henderson Productions
Mobile Disc Jockey Services. Henderson is also
in his second term as the Fallowfield Township
Supervisor. In the past, he has been President
of the Mon Valley United Way, the Fallowfield
Township Lions Club, and the Mon Valley Initiative;
furthermore, Henderson has been a board member
of the following: Washington County Redevelopment
Authority, Washington County Tourism Board,
Greater Charleroi Community Development Corp.,
and Washington County Health Partners. He resides
in Fallowfield Township in Washington County
with his wife, Lorrie, and his son, Ryan.
