Churches
Churches have been established institutions in downtown Irwin long before there was a small town called Irwin. Several of the current churches can trace their origins back to the 1700’s. Brush Creek Salem Church, now Brush Creek United Church, was the first officially-founded church in Irwin in 1773. A church can be found on almost every street, of all different denominations, with a strong parish found in Irwin’s community. The churches also hold a wide variety of church programs established specifically for adults, children, and family.
